Andy Whitson (Big Andy DJ) has more than 25years experience on the music scene from humble beginnings on the bar and club circuit in and around the NW, he is now specialising in bespoke DJ sets for private parties, events, bars/restaurants, weddings and corporate functions. He works well with clients who want a relaxed and fun event.
His style is fresh and eclectic with anything that grooves and keeps the vibes alive but has a particular penchant for any Funky, Soulful & Disco house. With a music collection that ranges from the 60's to up to date chart and dance, through the genres of Soul, Funk, Disco, 80's, 90's, R&B, Hip-hop, Chart, and of course, all things House Music.
With his professional approach and attention for detail he specialises in playlist design - working with his clients to devise a completely unique performance for every event, focusing on the musical preferences of the hosts, guests, 'must-plays' and other significant songs and styles from which he builds the perfect musical backdrop.
Championing the old skool values of P.L.U.R. (Peace, Love, Unity & Respect) he firmly believes in the power of music to bring people together and celebrate life, vibrating as one at a higher frequency. The synergy between the decks and dancefloor is what makes the magic happen.

If you want to let the music do the talking that's fine. If you want regular announcemts on the mic that's ok too.

From the initial consultation and planning meetings (phone, virtual or in person) you will get the party you want.
Playlist suggestions are welcomed and for every track suggested there will be another 3 or 4 that go with it - That's the DJs job to use the extensive musical knowledge built up and skills to mix it up in the moment to keep the energy up and flow going.
